Boho braids — also called bohemian or goddess braids in some salons — take a knotless braid base and leave curly human-hair strands loose along the length. The braid supplies the structure; the free curls supply the softness. The result deliberately avoids the uniform precision of a classic install in favour of something looser and more organic.
The skill lies in curl placement. Too few loose strands and the style just reads like an unfinished braid; too many and it turns messy rather than romantic. The loose curls need more attention than the braids do. Detangle them gently with fingers or a wide-tooth comb, refresh with a light curl mousse or water-based spray, and always wrap or pineapple at night. Avoid brushing the curly sections dry, which will frizz them permanently.
